ABOUT ME

I fell in love with nutrition as a teenager. Like many others, I spent most of my younger years with tummy troubles, fatigue, muscle aches, and brain fog. My doctor had no explanation and I was told that being tired was part of growing up. So, I set off to find my own answers. After putting myself on an elimination diet at 16 years old, I found drastic healing. My love of nutrition and food as medicine was born.

I became a Registered Dietitian in 2017 after earning my Bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut. I then started work as a Clinical Dietitian in the Oncology and Intensive Care Units of my local hospital. Although I loved being able to help people in a critical time of need, I felt as though I could be doing more. We were confined within hospital policy and resources, and going "against the grain" of nutrition advice was unwelcome, to say the least. Knowing that nutrition was far more powerful than how I was then able to use it, I set on to expand my education. I completed my Master's degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States in 2022.

After six years of working at my local hospital and two years working part time in the outpatient setting under an Endocrinologist, I decided to take a break from the work force to take care of my growing family. Although I was no longer working as a Dietitian, this was a pivotal time in my career in nutrition. I had spent the previous years learning the nuances of nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle choices to help someone in the throes of illness. My time as a mother, however, taught me how important it is to build a foundation of true nourishment. Birth and breastfeeding left me very depleted, and my immune system and energy levels were suffering. Nurturing my microbiome, boosting my vitamin and mineral stores, and making targeted lifestyle changes made an incredible difference.

All of my work experience, expanded education, and my personal journey have made me a better Dietitian. When working together, I will listen to your concerns, look at whole-body symptoms, and work to uncover the root cause of disease. We will establish goals and agree on realistic changes to nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle that get you on the path to wellness.
